We started learning about number and number values during Sefiras Ha'omer and the children have grasped these concepts well and are able to answer questions related to this with ease. They are beginning to recognize the 2 digit numbers and to identify them correctly.

We are now concentrating on the 5 senses. When you come to our class take note of the pictures representing this and our display table. This week we are starting with the sense of smell. Please send with your child something that smells to put on our display table which all the children will then get a chance to smell. With this sense we will teach the children to identify sweet, sour, strong, pleasant etc... also adding in their vocabulary.

We are painting and making a beautiful 7 branch Menorah which is spoken about in the Parsha, working on the diagonal shape.

Our thick Kokies are running out! PLEASE SEND IN A PACK OF NEW THICK FAT KOKIES NOT THIN ONES!!!!

Our Tzedokah has run out, please can you send a bag of coins so we can give Tzedokah each day!

THANK YOU very much!

Numbers

We are learning about numbers in connection to Sefiras Haomer. There is an interest table with various counting puzzles and games which the children are taking part in and thorughly enjoying. Displayed on the walls are number charts and number values making an awareness to all the children. They are grasping the concept of counting the Sephira and are enthusiastic to call out what day we are up to and how many weeks have passed and how many weeks till Shavuos.

A project we are concentrating on now is what we dont do during Sephiras Haomer:
The children made a beautiful picture of a Chuppah with a bride and groom.
They traced scissors and made a face with hair.
They drew a drum and coloured other musical instruments for music.
They will be making pictures and cut outs of new clothes.

We all made our own Sefiras Haomer mountain charts and each week is painted a different colour. We check off daily the number we are up to in Sefiras Haomer.

We are trying hard to have extra Ahavas Yisroel this month, caring and sharing and treating each other with respect.

Mazaltov to Sheva for her 5th birthday. May she always give Nachas to her Parents.
